Nice hike, some steep climbs, unfortunately the sinter terraces are currently almost completely without water due to the severe drought.

For the opening of the 2025 hiking season we went to Weißenohe on the edge of Franconian Switzerland. In dry ./. 2 degrees we set off from the Weißenohe train station (a proud term for it!), then into and through the village towards the Lillachquelle. It was lovely😁👍

Unfortunately, the Sinter Terraces were so overgrown (at the end of September) that you couldn't see them, but you could hear them... the splashing was simply wonderfully meditative, wonderfully relaxing. And from the Sinter Terraces the next 1-2km along the Lillach are simply fantastic.
