The mill

The area around the Buchschwabacher Mühle is a true natural idyll: soft, hilly fields, a pent-up brook with fish farming in the valley, fruit tree fields stand out far in front of the wooded horizon.

The owners Martin and Barbara Kreß have lovingly restored the old mill on the outskirts of Buchschwabach in its original state and run a Scottish highland cattle breeding in addition to a fruit still - an insider tip for discerning gourmets.

There are fine fruit distillates made from home-grown fruit. Meat is also very well received and is sold by the kilo on reservation.

Aesthetics for gourmets

Under the name "Destillarta" the art of distilling now comes into direct contact with the visual arts. Art lovers and gourmets can ponder here about essences of fruit and the essence of art in equal measure.

In a simply furnished outbuilding, a former barn, the Buchschwabach mill owners present and sell a variety of distillates from several vintages - all of them distilled in the company's own still.
