July 13, 2025,Rund um Remscheid (v1) - Röntgenweg
I'd been planning to do the Röntgenweg trail around Remscheid for a long time, and today was the day. It's a scenic route, mostly a leisurely bike ride with a few challenging mountain bike sections. You can't rely on adequate signage everywhere, but apart from a few minor deviations, I found the route easily using the GPS.

Around Remscheid, also called the Röntgenweg, it was our turn again today. It's been a good three years since the last round. The weather was great and we (me and Pattenkind) had a lot of fun👍There was even a brave woman swimming at the Wuppertalsperre 🏊‍♀️ 🙈

Whatever the reason Peter called the tour the “X-ray path”...🥸
Rapcon drove around Remscheid about 3 years ago, quickly compared Peters and his routes, made some adjustments and then started today fully motivated.
After two minutes he saw the first snow 🤔
Then 20 kilometers just forest. 🌳 🌳
Thirst and hunger arose. Chip shop closed on Saturdays.
No currywurst …

Beautiful tour through the Bergisches Land.
A wonderful area for biking just 1 hour from home. Tough climbs and great single trails.

Impassable passage at km 29. Must be bypassed. Otherwise great trip.

Today we followed in the footsteps of Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen. He was a German physicist and university professor. He discovered "X-rays" on November 8, 1895 at the Physics Institute of the University of Würzburg. For this, he received the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1901 when the first Nobel Prizes were awarded. Started haphazardly again, and then of course managed a clean lap again.
Four reservoirs and an outdoor pool touched, then there was a desire to swim.

Did a lap around Remscheid in the original Bergisch weather 🌧️😂. The tour was good, but certainly not as nice at this time of year as in spring/summer.
