Bull Point Lighthouse

Highlight • Monument

There has been a lighthouse here at Bull Point since 1879. The current structure was built in 1975 after the original building succumbed to subsidence. The light can be seen for 44km and is still a very important warning to seafarers of the dangerous rocky coastline.

Aside from the lighthouse, you can enjoy spectacular views of Rockham Bay towards Morte Point to the south west and to the east towards Shag Point.

Amazing views at every corner, some serious climbs and decents but a nice Inn halfway round for a much needed energy boost.

Barricane Beach

Highlight • Beach

Barricane is a picturesque cove nestled between the rocks. It’s famous for cowries and other exotic sea shells. Local folklore says that these shells have travelled off the shore of a Caribbean island thousands of miles across the Atlantic to be dropped in near-perfect condition. There are some fantastic rock pools to explore and it’s a popular surf spot.

Baggy Point

Highlight • Viewpoint

Baggy Point is an exceptional headland in North Devon, separating Croyde Bay from Morte Bay and Woolacombe Beach. It's a favourite with rock climbers and, if the weather's dry, you're sure to see or hear some below. The views are fantastic on a clear day.
