Boutdeville Park

Highlight • Historical Site

Volunteers work to perpetuate the memory of the “Little Train” present from 1905 to 1956 in the Côtes-du-Nord department. Free access site, two exhibitions in passenger cars, one of which is permanent on the history of this little train. For a more fun moment, board one of the “Boutdeville Tramways” which crisscross the magnificent park.

The Pont des Courses

Highlight • Bridge

The Pont des Courses is a metal bridge that spans the Gouët river, between the Cesson district in Saint-Brieuc and the Grèves de Langueux. It was built in 1905 by Louis Auguste Harel de La Noë, an engineer who carried out numerous works for the Côtes-du-Nord railways. The Pont des Courses is 40 meters long and has a single arch of 12 meters. It passes under an arch of the Compagnie des chemins de fer de l’Ouest bridge, which connects Saint-Brieuc to the port of Légué. The Pont des Courses has been listed as a Historic Monument since July 2018. It was rehabilitated in 2020, after being closed for several years for security reasons. The Pont des Courses is part of the cycle path of the strikes, which runs along the Gouët river and offers a panorama of the bay of Saint-Brieuc.

Douvenant Viaduct

Highlight • Monument

Built between 1903 and 1905, the curved Douvenant viaduct overlooks the valley of the same name.
131 meters long and 23 meters high, it allowed the “petit train des Côtes du Nord” to connect Saint-Brieuc and Langueux in the direction of Moncontour.
Rehabilitated in 2022, it reopened to gentle traffic and offers walkers and cyclists an exceptional view of the Bay of Saint-Brieuc.
