August 5, 2021,Wellerbrücke – Piburger See Runde von Sautens
A wonderful round on rustic paths, with many highlights and sometimes great views. Ordinary uphill passages but always sure-footed and sometimes adventurous. I was traveling with my wife and my 10 year old daughter, it was just great👌😍

The Piburger See is one of the oldest nature reserves in Tyrol. It was created after the last ice age, when the southern valley floor was blocked by a massive landslide and the lake was able to dam up.
The tour first leads to the pulpit, which is below the lake but offers a great view of Oetz. The chasm …

Great hike! Nice views of the river, lake and mountains. Mid-May was open, although some parts were a bit overrun by vegetation and fallen trees, no trouble for experienced hikers
Diverse hike with different impressions. Detour to Vivian's ice cream factory and stop at the restaurant on the lake.

We crossed the Weller Bridge to Lake Piburg, then to the Seejöchl Pass with its Jöchl Cross. Further stops included Piburg, the Piburg Mill, Kluft, and the Kanzel Pass. All in light rain, but still enjoyed stunning views.

This 9 km hike can easily be done with the family. there are some highlights not to be missed, the Kluft, the Seejöchl and the breathtaking view of the city of Oetz from the Kanzel.
After yesterday's challenging climb to the Narrenkogel, we decided to do a lighter and shorter recovery hike today. We explored the beautiful Piburger lake and the Ötztaler Ache (hosting the kayaking world championship). It's amazing to see the Alps slowly coming to life with all the blossoming trees.
Nothing is right. KM, average speed.
But it was nice
