The Römerweg is a very beautiful cycle path with a great view. This path sometimes leads very close to various farms. Cyclists should also drive slowly and pay attention to children playing.

July 20, 2025,Brixental - St. Johann - Kitzbühel
There were a lot of cyclists out on this sunny Sunday. Over 90% of them now ride electric mountain bikes, a trend that has taken hold in the last ten years. My wife, however, was ambitious enough to want to do without an auxiliary motor, and she managed it.

This morning we started in Westendorf/Tyrol with destination St. Johann. Past Kietzbuehl along the old Roman path. Back via Going, Reith near Kietzbuehl, Kirchberg to Westendorf.
Super nice tour with acceptable weather ☀️
Another successful bike day.😉

The weather forecast predicted severe storms at 12:00 p.m. So we only drove the short distance to Kitzbühel. Before Kitzbühel, we passed a fantastic golf course, but in Kitzbühel it was packed, packed. Full of people (Gaballier drove past us) and full of cars. Beautiful is something else entirely. We also took a look at the finish line of the …

Quiet and very nice tour with the e-bike to the well-known village of St-Johann. Outward via an alternative route, back via the normal cycle route. Distance is 55.5 km (gps set too late).

Panoramic tour. The Kitzbühler Horn and Wilder Kaiser are your companions. Great cycle paths. Culinary delights on every corner. Something from the "Bergdoktor" in Going. Delicious ice cream in St. Johann.

We start in Kirchdorf and drive upstream via St. Johann to Kitzbühel.

The route from St. Johann to Kitzbühel was very nice to ride. In Kitzbühel it was a bit confusing to find the right way to Schwarzsee. From Schwarzsee to Reith the "cycle path" along the busy road was no fun at all, so I turned left in Reith towards Going. It was a steep climb, but the scenery was really …

A very nice tour that hooks at the end. Since one area is completely closed, you should definitely follow the signs to Going after Sankt Johann.
