Highlight • Settlement

The small village of Castellfollit de la Roca stands on a spectacular basaltic cliff, 50 meters high and almost a kilometer long, formed by the flow of the Fluvià river. The oldest part of the village dates back to the Middle Ages and is made up of squares, streets and shaded corners that offer relief from the summer heat. The narrow alleys of the village lead to the old church of Sant Salvador which dates back to the 13th century. From here you can enjoy an unparalleled panorama of the lush valley below: Castellfollit is in fact located close to the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Nature Reserve.
