1) The Royal Collection of Painting and Sculpture, which comprises around 2,600 works from 1300 to the present day. But it also includes modern contemporary works by the Danes Asger Jorn, Per Kirkeby, Elmgreen and Dragset, and Danh Vō.
2) The Royal Collection of Prints comprises 300,000 works (drawings, lithographs, etchings, and other art forms on paper) by Danish and international artists.
3) The Collection of Plaster Casts (Den Kongelige Afstøbningssamling) comprises over 2,000 plaster casts and has been housed in a historic warehouse (Vestindisk Pakhus, Toldbodgade 40) since 1984. The works represented date back to Ancient Egypt. For reasons of economy, the Collection of Plaster Casts is only open on Tuesdays and Sunday afternoons.
