The El Salto Pool can be reached via a small and very short trail (a few hundred meters) from a parking lot. Parking costs 2,000 CRC (as of November 2022). The parking lot and the trail can also be reached on foot from the city of La Fortuna in about 20-25 minutes.

La Fortuna Waterfall

To reach the „Catarata de La Fortuna“ you need to step down a 600m walkway. You will hear it from the main entrance and your way down enjoy several views on the water fall. Down there you can take a swim, so bring your stuff! The way is paved concrete, but the ascent takes some breath away 😉. Enjoy also the tucans at the entrance office. Besides three different species at the same time, we also spotted parakeets in the nearby trees.
