A weekend in December means: at least a short break from the house. And of course, I want to add to my activity minute tally. So, off I went for a new-to-me run to Barmstedt.

The route leads through the Rantzau Forest, past Lake Rantzau, and through the woods. Along the Krückau River, with some nice photo opportunities.

Saturday, snow, fresh air... so let's go outside. This four-loop trail leads through the lakeside park at Rantzau Lake (loop 1), the northern and western sections of the Voßloch Forest (loops 2 and 3). The final loop briefly crosses the castle island.
