El Masnou Marina

Highlight • Rest Area

The Marina is located in El Masnou, a municipality of around 21,000 inhabitants located 15 kilometers north of Barcelona.

El Masnou is the gate that gives access to the Maresme region. With a Mediterranean climate, it enjoys an average annual temperature of 18º and 2,900 hours of sunshine.

El Masnou has long sandy beaches surrounded by urban centers. It is a narrow and narrow town quite tinctured. In the north, it borders with Alella and Teià, the eastern part borders on Premià de Mar and on the westernmost side with Montgat. The Mediterranean arrives through the southern zone. The Alella stream crosses the town and ends where the Port Esportiu d'El Masnou begins. On the eastern side we find the yacht club and Ocata beach. A brown building, with right angles and located to the right, makes it easy to distinguish the port. The municipality, following the coast, widens leaving the church of Sant Pere. In the old town we find a sample of peasant and sailor houses, together contrasted with those with a more stately appearance and large fortified farmhouses.

It has a capacity for 1,081 berths, for lengths ranging from 6 meters to 22 meters, with a sheltered area of 12.4 hectares and a draft of 3 to 4 meters.

El Masnou Beach

Highlight • Beach

Beach located next to the breakwater of the El Masnou marina, which has numerous services. It is of fine sand and has a fairly steep entrance to the sea. The beach is accessed through an underground passage that crosses the N-II.

At the southern end of the El Masnou marina, this beach of fine, yellowish sand stretches out with an entrance to the sea characterized by its steep slope. It is about 1,100 meters long and has a variable width that decreases as it joins Alella beach (Can Teixidó).

Protected by the breakwater of the marina, next to which the Alella stream (normally dry) flows into, it has several services: leisure areas for the little ones, showers, toilets, security services and beach bars where, in addition to soft drinks, they offer foods.

It can be accessed through an underground passage located on the other side of the N-II road, where there is a small parking area. Also through the marina of this town, which has an extensive restaurant and leisure offer, and a large car park, in this case for a fee.
