Mill Street, Burton Bradstock

Highlight (Segment) • Religious Site

While much of Burton Bradstock looks like it's wandered out of a postcard, Mill Street is particularly idyllic. The Three Horseshoes pub is at one of the street, a beautiful stone building with a thatched roof. Most of the buildings along the lane are thatched, each with its own charm and makes you want to backtrack and walk along it all over again. At the other end, you'll find the church.

St Mary's Church, Dorset

Highlight • Religious Site

On 12th-century foundations, St Mary's church still has sections dating from the 14th century. It's built from stone sourced in the South West and has some intriguing gargoyles. With a peaceful churchyard, it's a lovely place to stop by on a walk in the area.

West Bay Cliffs

Highlight • Natural Monument

The coast path between West Bay and Burton Bradstock is currently closed due to a landslip. A diversion is in place using the public footpath across Bridport and West Dorset Golf Club. Please see the South West Coast Path website for further info and a map of the diversion.

West Bay Coastal View

Highlight • Beach

Try the small museum and walk all the way along the esplanade to the end of the new pier to really for one of the best views of those golden cliffs and the jurassic coast

Lots of lovely walks at these two National Trust sites.

Tip by

10.1 km

Immediately east of Burton Beach, the clifftop makes for a fantastic place to stroll, particularly in clear weather. The views from these large cliffs are excellent and you can see considerable distances around Lyme Bay.

Stay away from the cliff edges as they are slowly eroding.
