Carbis Bay Beach

Highlight • Beach

The white sand and clear waters of Carbis Bay Beach are sheltered from the big Atlantic seas so it makes for a tranquil beach, popular with swimmers. It is often less busy than other beaches in Cornwall. It also hosted the G7 summit back in 2021.

The Terrace, St Ives

Highlight • Settlement

Lovely spot for a rest with some amazing views of the sea and over St Ives. You can also go down into town if you want. Be warned, it's hilly in and out of St Ives though!

St Ives Harbour

Highlight • Viewpoint

Sit on the harbour wall and watch the world go by.

However if you fancy a bag of chips or and ice cream, take care of the seagulls they hunt in packs and they have evolved to be the ultimate ice cream preditor.

St Ives Harbour

Highlight • Settlement

The picturesque fishing harbour and seaside town of St Ives is a real gem on the Cornish coastline. With distinctive cobbled streets — lined with independent shops, traditional eateries and fisherman’s cottages — as well as a historic harbour and golden beaches nearby, you will find it a lovely place to explore.

Man's Head Rock Formation

Highlight • Natural Monument

Man’s Head is a rocky outcrop that, as you may expect, bears a striking resemblance to a man’s head, especially from the seaward side. As well as quirky geology, you are afforded a wonderful view out to sea and over Porthmeor Beach.

Porthminster Beach

Highlight • Beach

With golden sands, clear waters, palm trees blowing in the breeze and one of the warmest climates in Britain, you can easily forget you’re in England at Porthminster Beach. The Blue Flag awarded beach is renowned for safe swimming and is a firm favourite among locals and visitors alike.
