Well, I have to say that you definitely have to visit this place at least once. In addition to the beautiful view, there are also numerous other things to do such as a playground, a chair lift, etc.

The Kuckans Valley

Highlight (Segment) • Gorge

Geologically interesting trail, because you actually find volcanic rock here (information board). In addition, an ascent to the Ravensberg starts here with nice surprises (Reinhardsbrunnen). Botanically, the climb is varied and leads through a particularly beautiful beech forest.

A very nice route with a lot of wind and a queasy feeling due to tree fall, but a fantastic panorama. The Ravensberg restaurant is highly recommended and can also be reached by car.

A tour with 3 stamps from the Harz hiking pin :-)
At the start there was the special stamp at the Ravensberger Baude and afterwards we continued to the Hohe Tür watershed. First we went down into the valley and of course went back up on the other side. ;-)
It was windy, but there was a very nice view …

I had to re-plan the tour a few times today. Unfortunately, many of the planned paths were closed due to branches falling down. But otherwise it was OK.

A very nice route for hiking. Towards the end, however, it is only suitable for experienced hikers because it goes over the Teufelsstieg (the name does it credit), from top to bottom on a very narrow, stony and rooty path.

From our group accommodation in the Steinatal we started our hiking tour right outside the front door. After a short but steep ascent we reached the stamping point HWN 043 Wasserscheide "Hohe Tür".

A nice tour despite the road closures and a non-existent path.
