The Jubilee Observatory is located on the Gallitzinberg on the western outskirts of Vienna. On the viewing terrace 31 meters above ground (480 meters above sea level) you have a good all-round view to the west over the adjoining Vienna Woods and to the east over the city of Vienna. On a clear day, you can see large parts of the Vienna Basin. On the horizon you can see the Hainburg Mountains and the Leitha Mountains to the east, and the Limestone Alps with the Schneeberg to the south.
