Riss Falls

Highlight • Waterfall

The small crack falls are the only waterfalls in the Vogtland. The ditch for the creek was once dug into the rock by hand, as wood was once floated here. Over time, the Weiße Göltzsch stream has worked its way deeper and deeper into the rocky ground. After heavy rains, the crack falls are particularly beautiful.

Muldenberg Reservoir

Highlight • Lake

Surrounded by the green forest, the Muldenbergtalsperre shines in a deep blue. Here you can spend a wonderful time in nature and take a scenic break on a bike tour. For swimming you will find a bathing lake below the dam on the eastern outskirts of Muldenberg.

Muldenberg Dam

Highlight • Lake

This is where the Zwickauer Mulde begins. Who wants to can circumnavigate the dam as a small detour - about 6 km. Also a great restaurant "to the dam".
Unfortunately on weekends hardly a place to get without reservation, but you can try it.

Falkenstein Dam

Highlight • Lake

Beautiful little dam. The loop around it is about 2.6 kilometers long. In summer you are allowed to swim at your own risk. A small, inexpensive (1h = € 0.50) parking space is in the immediate vicinity of the dam. There is even a water playground for children at the dam.

E.Feu 💐 had invited me to go on a tour with a few members of the fitness club 🏋️‍♂️.

I gladly accepted 🙋, even though the weather didn't look 🌦️ like it would be particularly great.

From the Falkenstein Dam 🐟, we headed towards Muldenberg to the Meiler 🌭 in Schöneck, where the sun 🌥️ even made a brief appearance.

Whit Monday tour. With the bike and the Vogtlandbahn, we went from Zwickau to Falkenstein. Up from the train station and down into the Göltzsch valley to the picturesque Falkenstein dam. Up to the crack falls and on to the Muldenberg dam. Via Hammerbrücke to the Muldenberg dam. Further up to Schöneck to the clay ponds, the sources of the …
