South of Sumvitg extends the V-shaped Val Sumvitg (Somvixertal). In summer, the bus leaves from the stations Rabius and Sumvitg to the reservoir Runcahez, a welcome shortcut to the otherwise long strait. It is still one of the most popular locations in Romansh literature in Graubünden.
