Thankfully, most of this forest road tour to Lake Oberersee is shaded. It's a very gentle gravel road section, but with some stunning scenery.

The Herrenalm hut is in a valley and was closed, so I saved myself the climb down and instead enjoyed the view from above. A mountain bike would have been great on the way back, and the swim in Lake Lunz at the end was a real treat 😁
