Castle Sant Nicolau

Highlight • Castle

Very beautiful old lighthouse from times long past.
If you look to the other side of the harbor entrance, you can see the harbor's new lighthouse.
It's no comparison to the old one, which has much more charm.

Super. As in Mahon, there is a boardwalk on which you can walk directly over the water along the rocks along the moorings of the boats.

Here the ancient port of Ciutadella is not like yesterday's goods port or similar. Very nice to walk around and there are some cafes and bars 😄👍

The old capital of Menorca - lively, picturesque, colorful. The place offers some refreshment by the water, and depending on the sun, there is shade in the alleys. There are plenty of places to rest - but who wants to rest? There is a lot to discover. And so you just keep walking and looking.

8:20 a.m. on the L92 bus to Mahon...the bus driver already knows me...🤣🤣...change to the bus to Ciutadella, across the island to the west side...took an hour.

Our first tour in Menorca took us to explore the old town of Port Ciutadella at the golden hour. Only a few shops are open on Sundays, but that didn't detract from our enjoyment of strolling through the city. Also worth seeing is the particularly beautiful harbor with a whole range of sports boats and the typical hustle and bustle …

A great city. It's particularly nice if you stroll through the alleys three streets away from the main tourist areas. However, siesta begins at 2:30 p.m. at the latest. Then the only life is in the restaurants.
