A tour costs 22 euros and it's definitely worth it 🤩 I wouldn't do it in June, July, August...pure tourism but awesome

I recommend Exit 3, the longer way back to the parking lot. There you can see a few great caves and get more impressions of the karst plain

Škocjan Caves and Gorge

Tour two alone was a dream. You can expect a lot of nature and above all a lot of water at high tide. Unfortunately, many paths are then closed, but this excursion is just breathtakingly beautiful 🥰

Absolutely worth seeing canyon at the end of the beautiful and breathtaking caves. The climb is the icing on the cake. Who takes the aufzuz definitely missed something!

Mariničeva Cave and Gorge

Highlight • Cave

Once you have made it out of the cave, there are three ways to get back to the car. If possible, I recommend taking the third route as there is a natural gorge waiting to be explored. Absolutely worth seeing and more than impressive.

Tour traced later.

Absolutely impressive and worth every penny of admission! At least on the level of the mines of Moria!!

It goes up and down!

In reality a bit more km's but no reception at the bottom of the caves, hence the straight line. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take pictures in the caves. But I can recommend that tour to everyone. Beautiful!!

What a breathtaking experience. Unfortunately, photos of the interior of the cave are not allowed (it's forbidden).

Škocjan - Cave No.2 of today, is much more touristy than Divaska Jama near Divača in the immediate vicinity: 4 cash registers, museum, souvenir shop, snack bar and approx. 150 people per tour - divided into 50 snacks. Uff.

The Skocjan Caves have been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1986. They are considered the most important underground landscape in Slovenia and even the whole world. You can only visit them as part of a guided tour, for which you should buy tickets online beforehand. We became aware of this gem through @Marcel Schaller. Thank you for publishing …

Photography is not permitted in the cave. We took an adventurous circular route back to the car, where these pictures were taken. Parts of the route weren't recorded because the signal was too weak (straight lines on the map).

It's worth it; the cave is very impressive!

Walk through the underworld of the Skocjan Caves.
Absolutely worth seeing.
The caves are breathtakingly large.
No wonder they are World Heritage Sites.

The impressions are overwhelming.

The caves also have one of the largest underground canyons in the world.

An absolute must for every visit to Slovenia.

Three thumbs up 👍👍👍

Day 13
Where do you go in the best hiking weather? Underground, of course. And so we set off on the 30-kilometer-long journey along the motorway to Škocjan. Parking is free directly at the ticket counter. In 1986, UNESCO added them to the list of World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
The caves are located on a karst plateau at a …
