The Seu oasis presents a vast area of Mediterranean scrub that extends to cover the northern promontory of the San Giovanni di Sinis inlet up to the cliff overlooking the sea.

In the period between the 16th and 17th centuries, the Spanish crown promoted the construction of the coastal towers of San Giovanni, Torre Vecchia (or Capo San Marco) and Seu along the coast of Sinis di Cabras. These structures were built with the aim of defending local communities from attacks by pirates and Barbary corsairs coming from nearby North Africa.

The Capo San Marco tower, also known as Torre Vecchia, stands along the eastern coast of Capo San Marco. Access to the tower was via a rope or rung ladder, easily removable in case of danger. From the tower, you can enjoy an extraordinary view, with the San Giovanni tower in the background, creating a fascinating setting.
