De Fluezen (Dutch: Fluessen) is an inland lake and is one of the Friese Meren. In the southwest it merges into De Holken and in the northeast into the Hegemer Mar (Heegermeer). The Johan Frisokanaal runs right through the middle in a southwest-northeast direction as a buoyed fairway. To the north-west, fairways go to Koudum and in the direction of Workum to Grutte Gaastmar and the village of Gaastmeer, to the south-east is the place Elahuizen. Adjacent as bays or small lakes, linked by canals, are It Sân, Swarte Wâlde, Aant Lieuwespoel, Hofmâr and Het Piel, all on the northwestern shore. Some of them are explicitly marked as canoe routes.
