Today Val Disdende after Friday's storm some trees on the ground but free roads. Not demanding climbs but constant very beautiful and wild views. Then took a fairly rough path never exposed beautiful. Had a very good lunch in the Campobon hut in 1941 where among other goodies the strudel truly delicious. Then we went up to visit the remains …

I started the tour in San Pietro in almost perfect weather and cycled along the Piave to the turnoff into Val Visdende. I reached the valley's plateau via a paved, sealed road. Across the plateau, I reached the entrance to the Strada delle Malghe, which ran on gravel from west to east.

A magnificent, impressive route in the beautiful Val Visdende - a "forgotten valley" with a wonderful mountain world. Easy to ride throughout, some asphalt, a few steep ramps with concrete, the rest are easy to ride forest roads - only a short stretch on the road before the Malga Dignas, where you have to push for small sections.
