Here we are immersed in the Karst, and the feeling is one of great tranquility, even though we are just a few hundred meters from the village. At the historic site of the Dolina dei Bersaglieri, we are immediately catapulted back in time, having to cross and follow trenches that lead to the small basin of the famous First Aid Post of the Great War, now an open-air war museum.
The route is very easy, on paved and dirt roads, with very little elevation gain and a high level of interest. It's a shame about the very tall grass...
