Impressive building 😯
Right there is a large recreation park 🌳🌲💚... and a 4 meter stainless steel globe on a roundabout 🌎 on the occasion of the 2006 World Cup ⚽️

Sand Mill, Duisburg

Highlight • Historical Site

Despite numerous documents, the history of the sand mill is only vaguely known. The earliest document that reports on a sand mill in Huckingen dates from 1448. It is preserved in a copy from the 16th century. It is reported that the sand mill belonged to the dukes of Jülich and Berg.

July 11, 2021,Urban Hiking-vom Tiger&Turtle durch Diusburgs Süden entlang dem Angerbach 🐅&🐢
Today I was out and about in an urban environment.
From the Tiger and Turtle (halden.ruhr/angerpark.html) through the south of Duisburg along the Angerbach. The path mainly leads through green areas and gravel paths. Not as spectacular as the tiger, but surprisingly a lot of green for an urban environment and there was also an ice cream halfway there😉☺️🌳⛅️

After I had a forced break because of Corona, I ran 10 km for the first time today. I'm really happy that it went so well without any problems. 😊

A beautiful tour of the Sunday runners with Tiger and Turtle in wonderful winter weather.

Beautiful route for hiking, you're practically walking through a huge park 😉 that's how it feels😊 Tiger and Turtle is a mega highlight and if you don't go on it you'll miss out on a super beautiful panoramic view ❗❗ it was fun 🤣🥾

This tour had been on my to-do list for a while. But on this gorgeous autumn day, the time had finally come.

We started at Tiger & Turtle, a large-scale artwork made of steel and zinc, a reminder of the site where a zinc smelter once stood.

After the last 🥾🥾 tour to inaugurate a pair of sunglasses 😎, this tour served to break in a new pair 🥾🥾.

At the same time, we would like to dedicate this tour to @LionPapsel 🐯...❣️
Many years ago (2017) 🐅&🐢 was a great trip recommendation from you...-
that before Komoot.🙈🙉🙊

Inspired by @🐐Zwei Bergziegen🐐, thanks! 🙋😉

I don't know if I'm allowed to admit this publicly, but as a native of Duisburg I went to Tiger & Turtle for the first time 🙈😁 Needless to say, I didn't know anything about this tour apart from Landhaus Milser and Biegerpark 🫣

Showing Translation

From the free parking lot, the trail leads through the beautifully landscaped Biegerpark and a green belt to the "Heinrich Hildebrand Halde" with its "Tiger and Turtle."

The slag heap is not made from mining waste, but from the slag dump of a bankrupt zinc smelter.
