A hike over the Mount of Olives is especially worthwhile if you visit the Schauenburg in Dossenheim. Then back over the Mount of Olives to Schriesheim to the Strahlenburg and along the vineyards.

At the large car park in the town center we first went through narrow alleys and paths along the Kanzelbach to the last remaining oil mill and then uphill …

I decided to go out at short notice even though it was pretty windy. Nice tour. There are many places where you could stay longer and relax 😅

I've already hiked the tour. Very demanding for walking. But when you stand at the highest point you will be rewarded with a sensational view

Very beautiful route. However, everything from the ascent onwards is in the (mostly blazing) sun, so the tour is better done in spring/autumn or early in the morning.
With two castles, lots of forest, vineyards, and views as far as Mannheim on clear days, there is something for everyone.
