Korber Fern-Seh Tower

Highlight • Viewpoint

"Television in Korb" observation tower: From May 10 to October 20, 2019, a green project sponsored by the state of Baden-Württemberg took place in the Remstal valley, in which Korb also participated. This 2019 Remstal Garden Show was one of the "small" garden shows that alternate annually with the state garden shows.

The Stone Age Museum in Korb-Kleinheppach will be rebuilt by 2020 and will then once again house one of the most important private collections of Stone Age finds in the country. During the new building, visitors can immerse themselves in prehistory and early history on the Stone Age circular route in the Kleinheppach vineyards and travel from the Paleolithic through the Neolithic, Bronze Age and Roman Ages to the Middle Ages. The Stone Age world can be admired at eight stations along the way. Excellent panoramic views are guaranteed.
Wonderful views and experience the Stone Age: The short, sporty and varied hike begins on Heckbachstrasse (after completion at the Stone Age Museum) or alternatively at the hiking car park between Korb and Kleinheppach. As you climb, you will be rewarded with insights into the lives of Stone Age people. Five life-size silhouettes of mammoths, cave bears, etc., supplemented by eight information boards on topics such as hunting, housing/caves, tools and weapons, etc., provide interesting information about the settlement of the Remstal during the Stone Age.

This viewing platform was created as part of the 2019 Remstal Garden Show. Conveniently, it's located on top of a raised water tank that needed renovation anyway, so they were able to kill two birds with one stone. Very nicely done, a great idea, and well worth a short trip!

The Beinsteiner Seele offers a great place to rest for hikers or for children's birthday parties. There are plenty of tables and benches, as well as a large barbecue area. There's also a small enclosure for donkeys, which sometimes stop here during hikes.

Definitely one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Rems Valley. Here you can have a great rest, grill, enjoy the view or watch the paragliders in good thermal conditions.
