Chapel St. Sebastian and Fridolin, bangs
The small hamlet of Bangs, located right on the border with Liechtenstein, probably had a chapel that dates back to the times of the plague. However, there is no news of this and no archaeological evidence, but there is a new building on this site in 1655, which was added to the Holy Trinity in 1660. Consecrated to Sebastian and Fridolin and restored in 1895. The nave with choir under a shared gable roof with flat arched windows, the south tower with arched sound openings and a pointed gable helmet from 1884 and a sign with a portal dated 1895 characterize the small church. The prayer house has a barrel vault, the retracted choir with groin vault has an entrance (passage) to the sacristy; on the west side there is a straight wooden gallery.
The high altar with a two-column structure dates to ~ 1660, the altarpiece shows Mariahilf with angels, the upper image shows God the Father, the side paintings show the church patrons Fridolin and Sebastian. The choir arch wall shows a Pietà by Jakob Summer and a St. Sebastian around 1500.
The chapel is listed.
