Wow... a gem.

Lovingly decorated half-timbered houses (Maison au colombage), beautiful courtyards, alleys, defensive walls... simply impressive.

Riquewihr is the jewel of the Alsatian wine country, famous for Riesling and other great Alsatian wines. Its cobbled streets are lined with half-timbered houses with wine shops and tasting rooms. Riquewihr's main street and its beautiful colorful houses date back to the 16th century. Of course, we had to try a local white wine.
