Grand Ferry Park and Historic Cranes

Highlight • Structure

A small park right on the East River with some old loading cranes. The view of Manhattan is not badly photographed, that's smoke from Canada. It was so dense as if there was fog. But I still find it very attractive

Domino Park

Highlight • Rest Area

The park itself can only be walked on, not driven on. Beautifully located on the banks of the East River with a view of Manhattan. Fine place to unwind and not very crowded.

Domino Park is a 5-acre public park located along the East River in Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood. It occupies the historic Domino Sugar Refinery site and spans a quarter mile near the Williamsburg Bridge. The park pays homage to its industrial past by showcasing salvaged factory equipment, like syrup collection tanks, and features wooden structures made from reclaimed refinery wood. Attractions include a children's playground, dog run, volleyball and bocce courts, and a playing field. The Sweetwater Playground also pays homage to the park's past by creatively mimics the sugar refining process. An elevated walkway resembling the refinery's interior runs through the park, lined with gardens. At the park's southern end, a dancing fountain display adds a dynamic visual element. There is also a small restaurant also offers tacos and cocktails to support park maintenance if you need to refuel on your run.

Williamsburg Bridge

Highlight (Segment) • Bridge

I haven't seen as many cyclists as here around 6pm. There is a separate lane for bicycles, which is one floor above the cars and slightly elevated above the subway.
