Church of Santa María de Peralta

Highlight • Religious Site

In a total state of ruin, only some walls and the belfry from a later period are preserved.
The plant had a 15 m ship. x 4 m. and the gate seems to have been on the north side.
The roof, made of wood on two sides on pointed stone arches, is completely collapsed
The church of Santa Maria de Peralta seems to be a work of the 14th century, which must have replaced an earlier one. The chancel and sacristy are later.
Coming from this church, in the Diocesan Museum of Tarragona, some wall paintings from the 14th century (of the few examples of the period in Tarragona) and a 15th century altarpiece, as well as liturgical objects, are preserved.

Hermitage of Our Lady of Lloret de Renau

The Hermitage of Our Lady of Lloret is documented in the second half of the 17th century, although, according to tradition, it must have existed in the middle of the 13th century. Construction of the current building began at the end of the 17th century (the land was acquired in 1690) and was blessed in 1704. In 1925 it was renovated by the architect Jujol. The annual festival is held there on the second Sunday of December.
