What to expect on Hiking loop from Kapalua
This Kapalua hiking loop offers a journey through incredibly diverse terrain, keeping every step interesting. You'll traverse paved pathways, wooden boardwalks, and sandy stretches, then transition to dirt, gravel, and rugged lava rock formations. The scenery constantly shifts, from panoramic ocean vistas where you might spot Molokaʻi, to dramatic lava fields, and picturesque beaches like Kapalua Bay and Oneloa Bay. Don't miss the unique Dragon's Teeth (Makaluapuna Point), an impressive volcanic rock formation. While the trail is generally easy, be mindful of rocky patches, especially near the lava fields.
