Veselí City Museum

The house dates from the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. This interesting building was built in the late Renaissance style by the mayor of Vesela, Martin Lomnický from Šebín. Despite his participation in the resistance of the Estates in 1618-1620, Martin Lomnické's property was not confiscated, so his granddaughter Prudencie Eufenie Weisová acquired it in 1638. In the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries the house changed hands frequently. Josef and Antonie Libor became the last private owners of this house in 1868. Twelve years later, in 1880, the building was purchased by the Municipal Savings Bank in Veselí. The house served as a bank until 1950, when it became a city museum.
