This little path is often a bit overgrown but well worth the effort for the fun scramble along the rocks that form Hardcastle Crag. It's a detour from the main valley trail, signed and managed by the National Trust.

Amid 400 acres of unspoilt woodland Hardcastle crags are Millstone grit stacks that form a couple of exposures and ridges above Hebden Water. The paths weave in between them and you can scramble onto some of the tops for wonderful valley views.
