The radio tower on the Steinegge mountain, almost 60 meters high, is an imposing structure. On its viewing platform at a height of 25 meters, it offers a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains.

Luisen Tower

Highlight • Viewpoint

A nice place to take a little break. The rise, especially from the southern direction (Borgholzhausen) but is fierce. At the weekend, the little hut is open and offers drinks. Then go up to enjoy the great view. The Luisenturn is 20 meters high.

Viewpoint in the Teutoburg Forest Nature Park directly on the Hermannsweg with stunning views of the Münsterland lowlands. Haller citizens probably chose the name "Kaffeemühle" for two reasons for the name of the pavilion. On the one hand, the shape of the building is unmistakably similar to a small coffee grinder. On the other hand, the gardener's house was for a time a tavern for the Sunday coffee of the citizens of Hall, of course connected with a climb to the "Kaffeemühle". From here 34 steeples could be distinguished, with the towers of Münster and Hamm being the farthest. Even the remote mountains of Kassel can be seen in good conditions.

The builder Hermann Hagedorn once called the "Kaffeemühle" his pleasure pavilion, with which he clearly expressed his attachment to the sandstone construction. He also described the mill and surroundings as an oasis of peace.

For some years, the Haller initiative "Haller Loge" maintains this vantage point.

You can start well from the parking lot and quickly follow the narrow trail down - by the way, hop over the small mounds of earth.

If you would like to turn it into an MTB circuit, turn right at the end and follow the path. As soon as a trail becomes clearly visible on the right, you drive it up - finally up a few steps and you are back in the parking lot.

Beautiful ride in the finest sunshine. The crisp climbs, especially behind Borgholzhausen, rounded the whole thing off 😊 but at Ravensberg Castle there was delicious savoy cabbage stew beforehand, which was necessary. Overall, the approaching spring was clearly noticeable, even if the rain of the past few weeks had turned the Teuto into a mud hole. Always nice. The defective …

Great Tour!!🤩
Highly recommended if you like Pamorama, unfortunately the pictures don't really illustrate the panorama! Megaa!! And before that the zoo was a nice change from everyday life!! No entrance fee, just a donation if you want!! Recommended!!!

Conditionally challenging tour in the Teutoburg Forest along the Hermannsweg, mainly on the ridge from Bielefeld to Bad Iburg. Back by train.

My second stage of the Hermannshöhenweg was also really fun. Some of the climbs were quite strenuous, and there were often large stones on the gravel. It was quite a sweaty climb 😅 but there were still some good stamping stations, and the observation towers were worth it 👍🏽☺️
Next week I'll probably start the third and final stage.

Unfortunately, we had to wait at Peter's on the mountain because of a storm, so we saved ourselves the steep descent at Dörenberg and took the road.
