Highlight • River

Right on the River Nidd, this lovely cafe welcomes cyclists and dog walkers with a genuine smile, serves delicious coffee, and literally the tastiest pancakes in Yorkshire (along with a host of other homemade cakes too).

It's open Tuesday to Friday 9:30-4:30, Sat and Sun 9.30-5.00.

There are even cyclist-specific deals on coffee and cake etc. Local cycling clubs are encouraged to sign up for loyalty prices, and let the cafe know in advance if you're coming in a big group.

Knaresborough Viaduct

Highlight • Monument

Knaresborough Viaduct is a viaduct in the North Yorkshire town of Knaresborough, England. The viaduct carries the Harrogate line over the River Nidd in the town. The viaduct was supposed to have opened in 1848, but the first construction collapsed into the river very near to completion, which necessitated a new viaduct and delayed the opening of the line through Knaresborough by three years.
