The Kahle Asten is the third highest mountain in the Rothaargebirge but certainly the best known, as it is located directly at the famous tourist destination Winterberg. This cozy inn is located in the small village of Schanze, right next to the Kyrill Trail. You can stay overnight here during your hike, or simply take a break to recharge. The beer garden opposite the inn is a particularly good place to do this. You won't find much traffic here: the road practically ends here.
