East Meon is a picturesque Hampshire village which straddles the pretty River Meon. It's the highest village in the Meon Valley.

It boasts a number of ancient buildings such as the Norman Church of All Saints and old Court House, with a medieval hall dating from the late 14th century.

The village has two pubs - Ye Olde George and The Izaak Walton (named after the famous angler).

A fantastic pub in the centre of the village that's super friendly. We stopped here for an end of the day beverage and some chips, sitting outside on a picnic bench out front with the locals and our bikes safely propped up against the wall. Plenty of seating round the back too.
