Cuckmere River Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

This is a beautiful nature trail. The path by the Cuckmere river is good and where the trail meets the Cuckmere river is a fantastic photo spot opportunity. The views up and down the river is gorgeous. This is especially so on a nice day like we had.

Seven Sisters Cliffs

Highlight • Viewpoint

Not for the faint hearted but what an achievement! Walked from Exceat Seven Sisters Country Park to Eastbourne along the Southdowns Way around 10 or so miles. There is a cafe halfway at Birling Gap that was surprisingly not expensive. Then stopped at Beachy Head at this point you can take the bus back very frequent. Once in Eastbourne we took one of the frequent busses back to Exceat car park. Exceptional views with dolphins and seals the day we were there.

View of the Seven Sisters Cliffs

Highlight • Natural Monument

Views of the Seven Sisters cliffs are the best views in Sussex, perhaps even the best views in the South of England. They are as beautiful as they are iconic, simply world class!

It is such a beautiful view that it feels surreal.
Here is where the rocky hills meet the sandy beach.
Beautiful point of view for autumn, early winter sunsets.
