Limes Watchtower on Heidenbuckel

In the forest on the Heidenbuckel south of the grave lies the Limesturm. In 1892, the foundations of a watchtower with a square plan were uncovered here. The approximately 15 -meter-high reconstruction of the Roman tower was created after representations on the Traian's Column in Rome.
The Heidenbuckel is the second highest point of the Upper German Limes. Once was the stone tower with palisade, wall and ditch of the guards 9/83.
