The wooden pavilion built in 1837 above the Karol and Amelia springs has retained its original shape to this day. It is an octagonal gloriette, with eight columns in the corners, on high pedestals, supporting a Doric entablature and a domed roof. Unfortunately, you can only drink mineral water in the nearby pump room.

All Saints' Church in Iwonicz

Highlight • Religious Site

Parish Church (1464) All Saints in Iwonicz is one of the largest and most interesting monuments of wooden church architecture from the second half of the 19th century. The fifteenth century in Małopolska and in the Podkarpacie region, where, despite the reconstruction of the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries, the Gothic layout and structure are fully legible.

History

The parish church in Iwonicz was erected in the 1560s, funded by King Kazimierz Jagiellończyk, and in 1464 the church of St. All the saints. Ok. In 1565, it was converted into a Protestant church, and it functioned as such until the 1330s. After the church was restored, Catholics were added in 1634 to the north. the church walls, a brick sacristy with a treasury on the first floor and, probably also at that time, a room tower on the west. In 1657, the church was ravaged by Hungarians and Cossacks. Around 1756, the temple underwent a major renovation, during which the interior was given Baroque features. In the years 1884-1895, on the initiative of the Załuski family, the owners of Iwonicz, the church underwent a major reconstruction: the nave was extended to the west, the tower was moved further to the west, and two symmetrical chapels were added to the side walls of the nave, creating a kind of transept in the body , to s. The chapels of the Załuski family with a glass box on the side of the temple were added to the chancel walls. The work in the interior was entrusted to local artists: the new carving decorations were made by Józef Aszklar from Lubatowa, and the painting decorations were made by Paweł and Jan Bogdański from Jaśliska. They significantly changed the character of the interior and blurred its stylish features. In the 1980s, the roof covering was replaced, and in 1995 the interior of the sacristy was renovated. Despite the reconstruction, the original gothic layout and structure are fully legible.
