When researching places worth visiting, Elafonisi beach and island often comes up. So we planned for it with reservations. We knew in advance that the beach was hopelessly overcrowded. Further on the island it was quieter. The oh-so-praised pink discoloration effect could be found in a few places, but it wasn't that impressive.
