Entschenkopf (2,043 m)

Highlight • Summit

Sure-footedness and a head for heights as minimum requirements only insufficiently reflect the requirements.
There are unsecured climbing passages and the descent towards Gaisalpsee includes another strenuous climb.
Without enough alpine experience, prefer to go on other tours.

Gaisalphorn Summit

Highlight • Summit

A fixed rope, iron fences and a ladder lead up to the Geissalphorn. Despite the fixed rope, the climbing site is not to be underestimated and climbing technically classified in the lower 2nd degree.

Absolute freedom from giddiness and sure-footedness necessary. Very narrow and exposed path! Only for experienced alpinists!

View of the Rubihorn

A hike alone to the lake is worthwhile, because you can take a nice break at the hut by the lake or take a swimming break there in summer.

June 14, 2022,Drei-Gipfel-Runde:Entschenkopf - Gaisalpspitze - Rubihorn
After an unsuccessful attempt three years ago it worked today: my first ascent of the Rubihorn :-) I also took the Gaisalpspitze and the Entschenkopf with me on the occasion, so that in the end a few kilometers were added up. It was hot, it was nice!

During my last hike to Rubihorn, i met a guy who had done Entschenkopf and then come along to Rubihorn. That's when i had desired to do this hike.
We started late due to DB. The first part of the hike was known to me. The path toward Entschenkopf became interesting after the forest area ended. The climb along Ridge …
We connected 3 fantastic peaks here to show Heiko my beloved Allgäu. I think the result is impressive, just beautiful 😍

Great round, great weather 😉

At the car park there was of course the expected hustle and bustle, after the turnoff to Entschenkopf it gets quiet. But of course there were a few people out and about here today too. Then there were paragliders at Geißfuß, a bit of scrambling on the Gaisalphorn and then actually alone on the Rubihorn …

Showing Translation

Today we finished what we had failed to do so far in July '24 due to the weather: the 4-peak tour around Oberstdorf's local mountain, the "Rubihorn".

Showing Translation

Be sure to start the tour via Entschenkopf, the Rubihorn is completely overcrowded from 8:00 a.m

Showing Translation

The plan was actually to go to the Rubihorn again. Before that I did the cleaning head because the way from the summit to the upper Gaisalpsee is just so beautiful. Then over the Gaisalphorn over the ridge to the Rubihorn. And because there was so much going on right back over the Gaisalphorn ällig coincidentally a couple of friends …
