Jöchliturm

Highlight • Summit

The Jöchliturm is technically easy to reach from the Jöchlisattel (T2 / 3) in just under 10 minutes. It is a quiet and beautiful viewing point.

The blue / white marked path that leads past the Jöchlisattel is a beautiful, rocky and very craggy path and the whole rocky area is simply stunning. I love rocky terrain and the views that you can enjoy here are really beautiful!

We move here in the alpine area and the paths should only be used in dry conditions.

Nädligergrat Ridge Trail

Highlight • Trail

Yay... I finally dared to go over the Nädligergrat 😊.

I've often stood at the Flispunkt and looked at this ridge path... from there it looks pretty pointed and narrow 🙈.

I made the path from bottom to top (from Wildhaus in the direction of Altmannsattel/Flispunkt. My descriptions of this path:
At the beginning the path leads up over easy mountain paths and the further I went into this "valley", the more I felt like I was in another world, it is simply fantastically beautiful here 😍😍😍.

Then easy scrambling begins 😄 and is followed by a fairly steep scree field (definitely the most challenging part for me 🙈, I don't want to go down there at the moment, although many people also take the path in a downward direction).

After that the path leads over very beautiful, scrambling rocks... these rocks everywhere 😍😍😍, that is something that fascinates me incredibly and I really enjoy scrambling anyway 😊😄😄.

At the Jöchlisattel you have a fantastically beautiful view in all directions and I can hardly stop being amazed. 😊.

The route continues over really beautiful and difficult rocks 😍😄😍 and the "pointy" final ridge of the Nädliger didn't look soooo pointy anymore 😊.

This is a blue/white marked, rather challenging T4 route and dry conditions are highly recommended!

Altmann Saddle (2368 m)

Highlight • Mountain Pass

From here, it takes about another 15 to 20 minutes to get up to the Altmann. From there, you have an incredible view. But be careful, there's no marked path up, and surefootedness and some experience are required.

Zwingli Pass Hut

Highlight • Mountain Hut

Beautifully situated below the Altmann summit, the Zwinglipass hut offers a convenient opportunity to refresh yourself after a long hike. You will be eagerly served on the terrace and the hut, which was only inaugurated in 2018, shines in new splendor.

August 17, 2025,2025-08-17 Besuch bei den Steinböcken im Alpstein
I hiked with a colleague from Spain to see the ibexes in the Altmann region. The weather was so mixed, with a lot of fog, then it cleared up again, but it was perfect for hiking.

Yes, this route with my son was tough. The model was the route by Martina (komoot.de/tour/861897831?ref=wtd) with some relief. You soon noticed the alpine ascent. Wonderful views then up in all directions. At the Zwinglipasshütte you can stay in peace and, if necessary, eat something. In summary - very steep climbs - no one came after us - training and …

Today we did what we had actually planned yesterday – and it was fantastic 😀
Starting with blue skies, the fog thickened around us with every meter we climbed. Until we were completely enveloped. The barren rocky landscape seemed particularly mystical.
Only after an 1100 m ascent do you see the Altmann for the first time on this route (even …

August 11, 2024,Wildhaus - Altmann
Start shortly before 12 noon in Wildhaus. So it's no wonder that the almost south-facing climb to the Jöchlisattel was extremely sweaty under the blazing sun. But I've never done the blue and white alpine hiking trail before and I had to make up for that. I also had to hike the Nädliger again. And that can be easily combined …

It was only on the evening before the tour that I decided at short notice to do this Alpstein tour. I knew about the foehn storm - the forecast for the Alpstein was between 30 and 40 km/h - but the reality felt different. The reason for this tour was that Martina @Martina was there on Tuesday and, contrary to …

Sometimes there are days when you just get in your own way a little more than usual 😅🙈.

Today was somehow one of those days.

And yet I had been looking forward to this tour for a long time: Altmann via the Schaffhauser Kamin 😍. A tour I had already done twice before and had been thrilled with both times. …

Altmann via the Schaffhauser Kamin T5III (not marked), Altman Normalweg T4 with sparse markings, but actually logical route, Nädligergrat T4 and down to Schafboden is officially marked blue/white. The Moor T5II is not marked and then requires a good dose of vertigo and a love of scrambling or, better said, almost climbing

You should definitely enjoy climbing on this tour and for me it was a big dream come true. Thank you very much, dear Paul, for waiting until I got back from vacation to do this tour and also for …
