Flebbe Beech

Highlight • Natural Monument

Huge beech with name tag .. named after the painter Fle Fritz Flebbe .. In modern societies age is a symbol of weakness, neediness and infirmity. For trees, it's just the other way round: with old trees we associate concepts such as strength, life experience and vitality - the older, the prettier. Even dead trees still radiate dignity and provide valuable habitat for wild bees, beetles and mushrooms.

Adamishütte Shelter

Highlight • Mountain Hut

Unperceived by the public, it was already 100 years old in 2015: the "Adamishütte". This hut was in its origin a refuge for horses and teammates who certainly stayed overnight on their long journey. In 1915, the real municipality of that time provided space for the construction and also donated the necessary wood. The former owners of the estate Langenholzen, the family Adami, financed the construction costs by a donation of 200, - Reichsmark. As a thank you, the name of the building was originally named "Adami Hütte". This explains the affiliation of the hut to Langenholzen. But the Alfeld manufacturers C. Meyer and C. Bescheidt generously supported the construction of the hut. In 1979, the hiker's hut was renewed in log wood, but already fell victim to a fire in the night of 03. to 04. July 1986 and was complete robbery of the flames. The reconstruction of the hut in our after-image took place in the following year and was inaugurated on the 1st of May 1987 and since then enjoys great popularity again not only with hikers.

Entdeckerturm Observation Tower

Highlight • Viewpoint

Unfortunately it was closed and there was no information about the opening times either locally or on the internet on your website. Maybe you can book an appointment online. But the tower is very interesting and worth visiting. There are also information tables next to it. Do not ride your bike on the Inselweg because there are sloping stairs at the end and it is difficult to carry the bike.

High above the Leinebergland, between Alfeld and Hildesheim, lies the Wernershöhe Cultural Hostel. This seminar and guest house offers simple yet comfortable accommodations for individuals and groups, as well as pilgrims on the Way of St. James. In addition to relaxation in nature, it also offers space for creative and cultural events such as seminars, camps, concerts, and exhibitions. The non-profit association that runs the hostel values sustainability and community. This creates a special place where encounters are possible and new ideas can flourish.
