A small resting place on the meadows, ideal for us to fortify ourselves with hot soup. It was also great to watch the children slide on the icy path.

July 20, 2025,HIGHLIGHT TRAIL Blasius Steig 😍 und neue Bestzeit 🤩
I just wanted to push myself to my physical limits today and got some inspiration from Boris (thanks for that 🙏) 🤗

I started in summery temperatures of 29 degrees, and the first few kilometers were moderate, leading straight to the first highlight.

A beautiful hiking trail in the southern Westerwald with my best recommendation. The only downer was that there is no café in Frickhofen. So next time: bring your own coffee and cake for the final rest.

Here is the route description, to which I have nothing to add:

It is recommended to start anti-clockwise, the last third unfortunately goes through the fields and is therefore not as beautiful as the very beautiful first half.

Today, I hiked the BlasiusSteig trail around Dornburg/Frickhofen for the second time. It's a well-maintained trail with several sights and excellent signage, plenty of cozy rest stops, and very quiet spots where you only hear nature and no traffic or anything like that.

After the northern part of the Blasiusteig was tackled for the second time last autumn, I ran this trail in its entirety for the second time today, Easter Sunday. I took today's tour a bit easier than the Kappesweg yesterday, Saturday. Occasionally, this is also good 😉.

Today in sunshine ☀️ and snow ❄️ a pilgrimage tour on the BlasiusSteig.

During the Advent season, I chose a pilgrimage route around Frickhofen that included the Eternal Ice, Hildegardis Rock, St. Blasius Chapel, and numerous forest paths and trails.

And here's a little teaser: I'll be back in 2026! I promise! 😉

Stamp - Check ✅

Today we have decided to climb the Blasius Climb. Actually, we hadn't planned the entire lap, there is an access path in the middle and then we would have had a relaxed 14 km lap.
When we stood in front of the sign where we had to turn, we got excited and tackled the whole …
