Elves' Path

Highlight • Trail

The elf path as part of this soon-to-be dream loop is wonderful for me, even if it is sure to polarize. Someone has invested a lot of love, time and work

Crossing not recommended at high tide. The path leads to the Elfenpfad on the other side of the Sohrbach.

View of Idarkopf

Highlight • Viewpoint

It looks a bit like a volcano. From the forest sofa you have a wonderful view of the Idarkopf

Roman Watchtower Dill

Highlight • Monument

As part of a job creation measure here was modeled a Roman watchtower, which, however, it should have never existed here.

The Diller Castle Path is a very nice, gentle circular route. The Elfenpfad also makes it attractive for children and the young at heart. Dill is a sleepy pretty place.

The newly built staircase (72 steps) leads to the northern moat and, across it, into the castle. This provides an exclusive view of the former restroom 😉

Cost: around €200,000, 50% funded by the EU

October 3, 2024,Diller Burgpfad plus Elfenpfad
A somewhat longer journey from Saarland, which I would not undertake again. Although there are a few sections that were very quaint and nice and the little town of Dill with its castle ruins is really cute, and we were accompanied by cute little creatures on the additional elf path, this path, which goes a lot through forest and across …

Whit Monday hike with Gabi.
Again with glorious sun and pleasant wind.
We didn't know about this dream loop either.
The Diller Burgpfad is beautifully laid out, well signposted, well maintained and offers a real highlight with the great half-timbered houses and the castle ruins in Dill.
The many meadow paths had been mowed and were very easy to walk …

The Traumschleife Diller Burgpfad is a highly recommended tour, great views along the way, accompanied by magical beings.

I set off on this beautiful hiking trail shortly after 9:30 this morning.

The trail led mostly across open fields with meadow paths, so I was glad it wasn't summer-like heat today.

However, the paths were quite wet and muddy.

The highlight of this hike is the lovely Fairy Trail.

Beautiful to walk on flat ground, absolute silence, pure nature...and if you are quiet, the elves whisper softly in your ear🤫😉

A beautiful dream loop in the Hunsrück.
Many paths past fields and meadows, but also some paths through the forest. The highlight is the castle and the half-timbered houses in Dill, the Roman tower and the elf path. Great views are guaranteed.
Definitely recommended!! 😍

I haven't done anything for a long time. I wasn't feeling well. That lasted for over a year. But now I'm back on track.

If you're arriving by car, drive to the hiking car park and start the trail there.

A highly recommended tour. And with this light and the beautiful details, it was hard for me to hold back when taking pictures.
It rained after the tour. That's how it should be😅🙏
