North Shore of Igelsbachsee

Highlight (Segment) • Lake

I think it is one of the most beautiful sections around the Great Brombachsee. Can be managed by any bike.
And there are far fewer pedestrians here.

Great lake, great for cycling around and very suitable for families because of the many playgrounds, sandy areas and places to stop for a bite to eat.

Brombachsee Lakeside Trail

Highlight • Trail

The riverside path is easy to navigate throughout - and the elevation is low. It's great that the hiking and cycling paths are separate. There are plenty of restaurants on site. A trip to the surrounding villages is also worthwhile.

Relaxed bike tour around the small and large Brombachsee and the Igelbachsee. The route mostly leads directly along the water and past many nice places to stop for refreshments. There is a path for cyclists and one for pedestrians.

Today we went from Pleinfeld train station, all the way around the large and small Brombachsee.

The weather today was perfect to start the walk around the Brombachsee. It wasn't too hot and really pleasant.

There was a lot going on everywhere, but I can still recommend the relaxed walk around the lake to everyone. The only thing we forgot …

Today there was sun all day and it was nice and warm. We had planned to walk around the Brombachsee. Not a bad decision. We started in Pleinfeld. We went from the car park to the lake through a beautiful pine forest. Here in the forest it smelled wonderfully of mushrooms in some places. No wonder after all the rain …

Just a walk around the lake and lunch at Müssighof. Always nice

With beautiful weather and 20 degrees Celsius, it was a lovely afternoon at the lake. The RV parking spaces were full, but otherwise it was relatively empty. For dinner, we had Franconian bratwurst with sauerkraut and a slice of bread. A half-liter of non-alcoholic wheat beer cost €5.

A circuit around the Brombachsee with wonderful cycle paths, several stops for cyclists with drinks and vitamins, very beautiful holiday region.

Beautiful circuit around Brombach and Igelsee.
Paths tarmac or bonded surface.
Only a few short climbs, mostly flat sections.

A relaxing walk in 32-degree heat.
Even though the many RV parking spaces were full, the lake was quite empty.
At the Seepitze cafe/restaurant near Absberg, we had sausage salad with wheat beer, and after circumnavigating the small Brombachsee, we enjoyed coffee and cake.
Not long before sunset, we took a refreshing dip in 29-degree heat at a "wild" swimming …
