Chapel of Grace, Altötting

Highlight • Religious Site

Pope Benedict XVI. called the pilgrimage Altötting once the "heart of Bavaria and one of the heart of Europe". No wonder, because the cityscape is characterized by numerous churches and chapels. Great sights and a little journey through the history of the place. A must - if you cycle through Altötting - is a visit to the Gnadenkapelle in the middle of the Kapellplatz - it is the destination of all pilgrims. Kapellplatz, Altötting

Highlight • Religious Site

Central starting point for pilgrimages. If you've been there yourself, like I did ten years ago from Regensburg, it's really impressive when all the believers gather here in the center of the pilgrimage.
